We’re loving these SKIPPY® P.B. Bites at the Smith House. They’re the most fun peanut butter snack on the planet that satisfies hungry kid cravings–and mom’s hungry cravings, too. It’s a SKIPPY® snack surprise!

SKIPPY® P.B. Bites As a kid, my favorite part of the day happened just after school when I walked into our kitchen and smelled supper simmering on the stove. That’s because after school, I always felt as if I was starving. So now that I’m a mom myself, I completely understand my own boys feeling famished after a long day of school work, too.
Though I do try to get dinner served earlier, gathering around the table to enjoy a nice hot meal as soon as school is over isn’t always possible. We have errands and the kids have practices and club meetings. With a husband who works odd hours, I never know exactly when he’ll finish up at work, so dinner is often delayed on those evenings, too.
That’s why I try to keep a few snacks handy. That way, the kids can enjoy a snack and satisfy those after school cravings while doing their homework or while we’re running errands on our afternoon commute.
SKIPPY® P.B. Bites

A SKIPPY® Snack Surprise

This past week, I surprised my son with a new sweet treat. He had just finished his newspaper club meeting and it had lasted much longer than it was supposed to. By the time he left the school that day, he was way past hungry.

My son was super happy to be greeted with these new SKIPPY® P.B. Bites. They’re made with real peanut butter and let me just say, they are super delicious. I found them in the peanut butter aisle at my local grocery store where they offered them in either double peanut butter or a pretzel variety.

Seriously, these SKIPPY® P.B. Bites are perfect for after school snacking. They are also super easy for travel and tossing in backpacks, so that you’ll have a satisfying snack whenever you need one that you can take wherever you need to go.

They come in these portable containers that are resealable, too, so it’s super easy for sharing. In fact, they are so yummy that I may or may not have enjoyed a few on my own while waiting in the carpool line.  Even better, they aren’t at all sticky or messy.

They don’t need refrigeration, either, making them the perfect treat for picnics and lunchbox treats, too. Next time you head to the grocery store, you may want to pick up some SKIPPY® P.B. Bites and try them. And if you do, leave me a comment to let me know how much you and your kids enjoyed them, too.

What about your kids?

Although there are no school-age kids in the house now, we are well acquainted with the craving for a mid-afternoon snack! I try to keep relatively healthful snacks on hand, but cookies are often the default. I think that goes back to my own childhood, when my sister and I would get home from school and our mom always had some cookies for us to tide us over until dinner..
