These slow cooker chicken wings is a fabulous party food favorite. It’s a version of General Tso chicken wings that your family and friends will love.
I love slow cooker recipes, especially when planning a party. They’re a great way to prepare one recipe while working on other appetizers or making last minute preparations for entertaining your family and friends. That’s why I love these slow cooker chicken wings. Even better, they are super easy to toss together and add to the Crock-Pot®.
Since we love Chinese takeout, I decided to use a General Tso version for this one. It has just a bit of kick from the seasoning and a great crunch from a sprinkling of the sesame seeds. You simply mix the sauce together, pour it over the chicken wings and cook for awhile in the slow cooker. Once they’re cooked through, you broil them in the oven for a few minutes to crisp them up a bit. Then you sprinkle them with as many sesame seeds as you like and serve. Here are the details for how I make mine.
Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
salt and pepper
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
Directions
Salt and pepper chicken wings and place in the slow cooker.
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and cayenne pepper. Add the cornstarch and mix well.
Pour the mixture over the chicken wings, making sure to cover all the wings completely.
Cook the wings on high for 3 hours.
Pour the chicken wings onto a large lined baking sheet and broil in the oven for about 5 minutes until crispy and browned.
