I’ve Tried It All
I’ve tried all sorts of techniques and ways to make myself a better person.
I’ve read books on how to get over myself, paid therapists to give me advice on how to love myself, and used every piece of gym equipment to change how I look and feel about myself.
But nothing really seemed to have staying power for lasting changes.
Many of them motivated me to change. And some of them even helped me drop a habit or two in exchange for something new.
But in the end, I’ve found only one tool that’s really made a difference. It’s the treasure I’ve discovered that holds the answer to everything I’ve been looking for. Best of all, it’s free and it’s been sitting on my shelf just waiting for me to pick it up and make it happen.
That’s all you need to do—just pick up The Book and make it happen. But if you’ve struggled through life, like me, filled with roller coaster emotions from painful experiences and unexpected twists and turns, then it’s the very thing you may have avoided in exchange for trying everything else.
What are you looking for?
Are you searching for answers?
Are you seeking lasting changes with staying power?
Are you looking for solutions to everyday needs?
Here’s the reality:
[Tweet “The Truth has the staying power you’re needing. “]
No self-help books, videos, or programs can even compete.
Most of us walk through life in search of meaning, trying to find solutions to the world’s problems.
We read books.
We study ancient philosophies.
We listen to experts on talk shows and podcasts who share their wealth of knowledge on everything from couponing to ending world hunger.
Our questions prompt us to search for answers. Our answers lead to more questions.
And though we look for guidance from those we consider to be among the wisest, their knowledge is limited by human possibilities.
All the while we view God as if He’s off in the distance holding all the answers in His clenched fist, as if He’s unwilling to share with the rest of us.
Are you willing to ask Him for it?
His Word tells us that all we need to do is ask.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
God wants us to know the truth. If we will take the time to dig into His Truth, we will find the answers we’ve been searching for.
What about you?
Has the Truth given you lasting changes?

Mitzi, WOW! I’m so grateful to have connected with you. I love every word of this post. Such truth. “But in the end, I’ve found only one tool that’s really made a difference. It’s the treasure I’ve discovered that holds the answer to everything I’ve been looking for. Best of all, it’s free and it’s been sitting on my shelf just waiting for me to pick it up and make it happen.” Amen!! My life began to transform the day I began reading God’s word.
