easy ground beef recipes

I love the yummy flavors of a cheesy sandwich, so the traditional Philly cheesesteak is always a hit at our house. But I’ve found an inexpensive and super easy version that’s just as yummy, too.

easy cooking

Here’s a way to take the same classic taste of a Philly cheesesteak that starts with a pound of ground beef. And, chances are, if you’re anything like us at the Smith House, you probably have an extra pound of ground beef tucked away in the freezer, too.

So pull out that ground beef and make these easy and delicious Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes tonight. They are loaded with fresh mushrooms, peppers, and onions, and covered in wonderful melted cheese. Your family will love them and you’ll love how easy they are to make. Even better, it’s all prepared in just one skillet, too.

1 green pepper, chopped

1 cup of sliced mushrooms

1 cup of beef stock

1/4 cup of steak sauce

sliced Provolone cheese

buns

Directions

Brown ground beef in large skillet for about 5 minutes or so, then add onion, peppers, and mushrooms and cook until tender. Drain.

Stir in beef stock and steak sauce and cook for another 2 or 3 minutes on medium heat.
