Father’s Day is this weekend, which for me is bittersweet. My own father was such a strong anchor and I looked to him for guidance and reassurance more than anyone else. Though he passed away several years ago, I still remember clearly the sound of his voice, the touch of his calloused hand, and the clean smell of his cologne that lingered for a moment after he showered or shaved.
I miss Daddy terribly, but I’m thankful for the legacy he left for us and the valuable lessons his life shared.
