Peanut Butter Bonbons Recipe : Our popular peanut butter bonbons have a white chocolate coating and a creamy center. They’re fabulous for parties and other fun celebrations, too!

Peanut Butter Bonbons Recipe

We’re continuing our Christmas Truffles and Bonbons series with these creamy Peanut Butter Bonbons. And I’m happy to say they turned out more delicious than I could have imagined.

If you’ve been following us for the last few weeks, then you know I’ve been knee-deep in bonbons and truffles, experimenting with all sorts of sweet samples to create the perfect Christmas treat.

Some of the bonbons have been more difficult and required a little tweaking, while others were so easy that I doubled the recipe to make another batch.

I’m happy to tell you that these peanut butter bonbons are some of the easiest. They only require a couple of ingredients–along with the dipping chocolate, of course–and they look really good on the plate. That is, as long as they will stay on the plate. Mine didn’t last long. The boys ate these up in a hurry. Still, they are super easy to make, so I’ll make even more when I want to share them with guests or take them as a finger food idea for upcoming parties.

I had to use a lot of powdered sugar for this one, so I was a little concerned about how the texture of these would turn out. But the center is creamy and the white chocolate is the perfect sweetness for them, too.

I’m sure you could use dark or milk dipping chocolate as well. But at the last minute, I decided to dip mine in white chocolate because I wanted to drizzle them with a little melted peanut butter afterward. And over the white chocolate coating, the peanut butter drizzle was able to stand out as a decorative touch.

Still, I’m sure they’d taste great with any chocolate variety. So don’t be afraid to experiment dipping the peanut butter balls in milk or dark chocolate, too. My son just loves white chocolate everything. And since these look so pretty in white chocolate, I decided I would go that route.
