If your family loves tacos and pasta shells, then here’s a great one for your next Taco Tuesday! It’s taco filled pasta shells that is cheesy and delicious. As with most of our Mexican dishes, we serve this one with chips and salsa and other fun toppings, like sour cream and extra shredded cheese.
Everything is thrown together and baked in one dish, too, so that makes clean up and serving really easy. Taco Filled Pasta Shells would be a great one to serve for family fun nights or for a potluck idea, too. It’s one of those kid-friendly meal ideas, so no complaining on this one. Taco Filled Pasta Shells Recipe
Ingredients
20 uncooked jumbo pasta shells
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 jar salsa, divided
3 oz. cream cheese, cubed
1 cup Mexican blend cheese, shredded
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until no longer pink and drain.
Stir in taco seasoning mix, 1 cup of salsa and cream cheese. Stir in about 1/4 cup of shredded cheese.
Fill each shell with ground beef mixture and place in a greased baking dish. Top each shell with a drizzle of extra salsa.
Cover with foil and bake for about 20 minutes until heated through.
Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake, uncovered, for about 3-5 more minutes until the cheese is melted.
