Thanksgiving Dinner Games

Thanksgiving Games

If you asked my boys their favorite holiday, they’d both say Thanksgiving. For us, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gather together and enjoy each other’s company while eating a wonderful meal. There’s something that’s just heartwarming and comfortable about Thanksgiving. It’s a day we set aside to pretty much do nothing. We forget about all the other things we normally deal with on a daily basis and talk, play games, and, of course, enjoy some delicious dessert.

If you’re a regular here at Written Reality, you know how much the Smith House loves Dinner games. We have played all sorts of hands-free games around our table during mealtime, and we’ve also used our imagination to create a few of our own.

Dinner games is still one of our family’s favorite habits, and I could never express just how much it’s strengthened our family and helped us through all kinds of days.

If you’ve never had a chance to play dinner games at your house, then these Thanksgiving games would be a perfect opportunity to try it. For this one, I’ve created a couple of fun printables to kick off the conversation. There’s one with a few questions to get the conversation going, and another that’s blank so you and your family can easily share by filling in the “I am thankful” card on your own.

Use these printables as just an extra time for some family fun and another easy way to give thanks to God for His many blessings this year.

These are such a great idea, Mitzi! I have your Dinner Games ebook on my iPad mini. On a few occasions recently when we’ve had to wait for some reason, I pulled out the iPad and played the games with my kids. Such a big help!

These are great! I love how easy they are to take with you to Thanksgiving dinner and how they involve the whole family!
