Want to save time in the kitchen? Cooking doesn’t need to be time-consuming or boring, either.

Use these 5 tools to make cooking speedy quick–and fun, too!

We all know how hectic our lives can be. And most of us deal with the same recurring problem when it comes to making dinner.

How can I create healthy meals for my family without spending countless hours in the kitchen?

Busy moms need meals in a hurry.

I’m always looking for nutritious meal plans that don’t require a lot of prep work or countless hours in the kitchen. But I also try to avoid takeout as much as possible. It’s pricey, filled with who knows what?, and takes just as much time to order and pick up as spending time cooking over my own stove.

Over the years, I’ve found several handy gadgets that make cooking much easier and faster, too.

With these tools, I’m able to save tons of time in the kitchen, so that I can spend more time around the table with my family enjoying a home cooked meal.

Tools to Make Cooking Quick

5 Tools to Making Cooking Speedy Quick

Need a few ideas for saving time in the kitchen?

Here are just a few tools that will cut cooking time to make it speedy quick and more fun, too.

1. Sharp Knives

Nothing is worse than trying to slice your veggies with a dull knife.

Anyone who’s spent any time at all in the kitchen knows just how important a good set of knives is for making dinner.

Choose a well-made knife set and keep them sharpened. It cuts down on prep time by making slicing and dicing a breeze.

2. Kitchen Shears

I use my kitchen shears for everything and I honestly don’t know how I ever cooked before without them. I use them to chop herbs, chicken, cut away fat–you name it!

Just like a good set of sharp knives, a sturdy pair of kitchen shears makes prep work a cinch.

3. Flexible Plastic Cutting Boards

I use my wooden cutting board often, but for quick cutting and clean up, the flexible plastic versions are so much easier.

4. Mixing Bowl with Measurement Markings

I love my mixing bowl with the measurement markings and I use it just about every time I’m in the kitchen.

Everything can be measured, mixed, and poured using only one bowl–making clean up so much easier.

It can be microwaved, set in the freezer, and is dishwasher safe. Mine also has a lid, for easy storing, too.

5. Immersion Blender

When you’re really in a hurry, an immersion blender is the way to go.

It’s so convenient because you can mix everything with it. From soups to batter, you can quickly blend right in the pitcher or bowl and you’re done.

It’s just another super quick way to make your time in the kitchen easier and fun.

What about you?

    I love my immersion blender!

I think having an organized counter helps. We keep a container on our counter by the stove which holds tools we use all the time.

I cannot live without my KitchenAid mixer or my immersion blender. This is the first year I had an immersion blender and it is invaluable.

Sharp knives – seems like such a common sense idea – but I didn’t realise how terribly blunt my knives were until we bought some new ones lol
